@AidanTheJester I haven't seen it, but it's been criticized by many trans people and also GLAAD. That this is transphobic is the general consensus, and while I'm sure there are trans people who like it, and a trans person getting noticed for acting in it, it is harmful.
@JulianKJarboe The skittishness is your brain working as intended (protect), so I generally advise patience with it. That said, I thought I wouldn't be ready again for a really long time but it was a matter of finding the right person who also wouldn't push me for what I wasn't ready for.
Because I was older, I had already transitioned from child to teen girl the young adult woman, but also to mother and middle aged women then when I transitioned I went down in age to young man and I can definitely tell you that privilege of status is not clear cut.
For those trans guys who were in your 20's or younger when you transitioned, you have some very definitive ideas about the change in gender status that is not as widespread as you think it is.
@badinfinity2 The funny thing is that I didn't think I wanted a beard until I was on T. I mean, T didn't create the desire, it just removed the obstacle to feeling the desire.
This is the other scene which is one of the most brilliant and horrific I've ever seen for the same reason. The surface emotion catharsis hiding the indoctrination into a cult-
I miss bed to bluski, despite not really having made a decision on whether I even plan on keeping this account because the hatred of transmasculinity is too depressing.
Like, if they can't connect that these two stem from the same framework, at this point it's because they are motivated not to, and nothing I say will make a difference. So what's the point of any of it.
There has been a variation of transfemininity that was built specifically to scapegoat transmasculinity, and that's been so successful it's taken over.
It's not useful to tell the person throwing you under the bus that, since you can't get through to someone with their defenses up. But it's important for us to know for ourselves.
The feelings that everyone just hates you, for being trans, for being transmasc, it's just depressing. I'd like to think the other place will be better, but it's a systemic problem.
This place really has become so hateful. There was a slow drip where the content in my feed was getting worse, then it exelerated in the past week or two. Right wing stuff in my feed when I hadn't gotten it before, and the most hateful to transmasc tweets.
@sailorviolet92 The dystopian feelings of young people growing up and seeing the reality of the world isn't new. I know gen X felt it, Millennials and now gen Z. I'd say even that gen X was the most depressed of all those generations so far (from artistic output) but there are still gen Z left.
People have been talking a lot about how conservative Gen Z is, and I don't buy that, but I do believe they are not the vanguard of the leftist order that people believed.
@sailorviolet92 I lived through that cultural change. I also live in a liberal city surrounded by conservative rural areas and as a trans person I am not worried about old people here but I am about traveling through the rural areas, and the youger people are just as dangerous.
