Bit quiet on the bird front this morning. One squirrel down taking a drink from the river.

First heron sighting for a little while. Young looking bird with good plumage downstream of Welshmill bridge.

Brilliant even if foggy 2 kingfisher 16 blackbird 3 tit 4 robin 6 other 2 crow 2 1 wren 1 magpie

Brighter - 18 blackbirds, 3 robins, 5 others. Plus one squirrel. Still no herons.

Misty, damp slightly cold blackbirds out and up plus the odd robin. And couple regular dog walkers.

Misty fairly light morning. Not bright enough though to be able to tell birds from only their dark silhouettes. Maybe more carrots needed.

Bit late even for a Saturday and there weren't many birds. Blackbirds almost absent. Lovely warm morning though with more dog walkers.

Fairly bright warm but moist. One group 4 ducks out on grass area. Regular spaniel with windmill tail also on wallows

Bright morning (until the clocks change). Blackbirds, Robins and Sparrows out and about. River level back to normal

Dark and threatening morning. Out early so not much activity. As it gets lighter rain clouds look less ominous

Cold and slight frost but plenty of noisy birds. Lighter mornings maybe leading to seeing more cats or maybe there are more cats?

After a squirrel yesterday back to early morning and not much action. River level higher than normal and slight frost.

Quite cold and wet with gusty occasional wind. Cold umbrella hand type day. Thought there would be less birds but enough to stay interested.

Raining for walk today. Stopped for river section so plenty of birds to be seen

Foggy day this one. Very little animal activity today although bird tweets all around. Neat the river fog meant air full of peaty smell

Back to usual time 5.40 am. Two sleepy ducks. Thought saw hedgehog but was rugby ball. Market stalls setting out.
