CtrPt Energy is almost done with trail repair. Then LR Public Works will fix landslide. They will try to open trail soon so trail users can enjoy the access again.
TRAIL CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
The Entergy construction will be completed soon. Then LR Public Works will begin to repair the landslide. They will try to open a way to use that section while they finish the repairs. Estimated time for trail closure is about two weeks or less.
The Arkansas River Trail between the Big Dam Bridge and Two Rivers Park Bridge will be CLOSED from approximately April 12 through May 3. Please plan your route accordingly. And spread the word.
Work on I- 30 Requires Arkansas River Trail Detours in Little Rock and North Little Rock
- In LR, traffic below I-30 will be detoured so. to Pres. Clinton Ave.
- In NLR, traffic below I-30 will be detoured no. to Riverfront Dr.

Detour - Due to heavy equipment use and construction along River Road between Rockwater Blvd and Paul Duke Dr please use the trail off River Road between AmeriGas and the Skate Park. Detour signs will help guide you.
TRAIL UPDATE: N. LR side of the Big Dam Bridge is OPEN. BUT- the trail is covered in sand and mud and there are some sink holes. You can get to Burns Park from the BDB, but be extra careful and ride a fat-tire bike or walk your bike.
As of 4:00pm CST, Cooks Landing and the North Little Rock side of the Big Dam Bridge are closed and gates locked. The river is rapidly rising. Updates will be posted as we get info.
The NLR side of the Big Dam Bridge will be CLOSED starting Friday morning due to AR River flooding. Portions of Burns Park (Victory Lake, Dog Park, and Soccer Complex) will also be closed.

The Big Dam Bridge 100 is this Saturday, with around 3000 participants from all around the country. The Arkansas River Trail will be very busy, especially in the morning.
TRAIL CLOSURE & DETOUR
Bikeped ramp from Broadway Bridge to the Ar River Trail & ped bridge over HWY 10 will be closed starting on 7/30/18 for approx 3 wks for construction.
The NLRPD is thrilled to announce that we will now have a Police Officer assigned to serve Burns Park & portions of the River Trail. Officer Alex Santucci has been assigned to help provide additional safety & security to our park visitors & will respond to any criminal activity.
Big Dam Bridge will be closed from 7 am -5 pm April 16-20 for maintenance.
And the section of the Arkansas River Trail on the n. side east of the BDB will be closed ALL day April 16-18 for repairs. Detour will be available using the Isabella Jo Trail and the North Shore Trail.
FLOOD CLEANUP: NLR Park Ranger Ian Hope says that they are working on cleaning up the flood debris on the trail. Please use caution and watch for workers, equipment and mud. The NLR trails should be clear by this weekend.
