Solafa Fares and her family are among hundreds of thousands of Kurds that fled their homes in Rojava following Turkey's invasion in October 2019. Her daily struggle to take care of her children has worsened by their harrowing situation - their only shelter an obscure tent.

Refugee camps are not homes. The quality of life within Kurdistan's refugee camps is abhorrent. The camp managers do the best they can, with whatever resources they have - but it is not enough. Basic necessities are not available to all, social services non-existent...
... & programs for the highly vulnerable short on funding. Whilst the world manages the Covid-19 pandemic, these afflicted people continue to suffer immensely, their situation as precarious as ever.
The growing global economic crisis has drastically stifled people's willingness to donate towards Kurdistan's refugees. Amongst these impoverished communities, vulnerable groups such as orphans are at heightened risk of neglect, as programs catered to their needs are abandoned.
