A tornado swept through Chapecó in western Santa Catarina on November 4, leaving widespread destruction in its wake.

🚒 Emergency crews assisted more than 400 families. No fatalities had been reported at the time of the latest update.

Authorities have declared a 180-day state of emergency across the municipality.
