A landmark welfare initiative for our force!

Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands has approved “Special Grade Designation” as a morale-boosting measure for Andaman & Nicobar Police personnel.

🔹 Constables with 15+ years service → Head Constable (Special Grade)
🔹 Head Constables with 25+ years service → ASI (Special Grade)

This personal rank initiative will benefit nearly 85% of our personnel, providing well-deserved visual recognition and respect for decades of dedicated service.

Eligible personnel will be screened and undergo 30-day specialised training.

We express our sincere gratitude to Hon’ble Lt. Governor @Admiral_DKJoshi, Dr. Chandra Bhushan Kumar, IAS, Chief Secretary @Andaman_Admin. for their continued support towards the welfare of the force. Wildlife Crime Crackdown!

On 11/03/2025, SI Manoj Lal & Team of PS Bambooflat raided Alipur, Mathura, arresting an accused with 20.23 kg of illegal wild boar meat, violating Sections 50/51 of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. The meat, a result of illegal poaching, was seized. After legal formalities, the accused and seized property were handed over to Forest Officials for further investigation.

On 05/11/24, PS Bambooflat team conducted a raid at PKS Nagar, Hope Town, Bambooflat, seizing 9 bottles of whisky (3 x 750ml & 6 x 375ml). Notorious bootlegger P. Bhasker Rao (66), with 15 prior excise cases, has been apprehended and booked. Strong action against illegal liquor trade! 👏

On 15/08/24, Shri Shamim Mondal reported missing of his bag containing ₹20,000 at PS Bambooflat while traveling from Chatham to Bambooflat by ferry. Acting swiftly, Duty Constable PC/1282 D. Rama Rao made diligent efforts, successfully locating the bag and cash, which were then returned to the rightful owner.

दिनांक 15/08/24 को श्री शमीम मंडल ने PS बम्बूफ्लैट में अपनी थैली गुम होने की रिपोर्ट दर्ज कराई, जिसमें ₹20,000 नकद थे, जो उन्होंने चाथम से बम्बूफ्लैट की फेरी यात्रा के दौरान खो दी थी। ड्यूटी पर तैनात कांस्टेबल PC/1282 डी. रामा राव ने तुरंत कार्रवाई करते हुए ईमानदारी से प्रयास किए, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप गुम हुई थैली और नकदी को ढूंढ निकाला गया और इसे उसके सही मालिक को सौंप दिया गया।
