Only 219,000 homes finished in the first five quarters, just 18% of the 1.2 million target. They’re on track for about 980,000 by 2029, missing by over 200,000 and hitting it a year late in 2030. Completions are stuck at 170-180k a year against the 240k needed, while high migration keeps flooding in demand. That’s why it’s still a disaster for anyone waiting on relief.
