According to preliminary reports, 357 people have lost their lives and 671 have been injured in Buner district so far. 4,054 livestock and 2,300 homes have been completely destroyed. 413 houses have been partially damaged. Six government schools have been completely destroyed. Two police stations have been submerged in water. 639 household items have been damaged. 824 shops have been partially damaged, while 127 shops have been completely wiped out. Two bridges have been damaged by floods. Estimated losses in Buner district have reached 20 billion rupees.

In Balochistan, 1200-foot deep borewells are now drying up, so this image in question is a solution: near those tube wells, have a 4/5 hundred foot deep bore dug to create a system like this so that water returns to the ground and the bores are restored.

بلوچستان میں 1200 فٹ گہرے بور اب خُشک گئے ہیں تو یہ زیر نظر تصویر ایک حل ہے اُن ٹیوب ویلز کے پاس 4/ 5 سو فٹ گہرا بور کروا کہ اس طرح کا سسٹم بنائیں تاکہ پانی زمین واپس جائے اور بور بحال ہوں ۔ بلوچستان میں اور بہت سارے علاقے جہاں مٹی کا کٹاؤ زیادہ ہے تو یہ طریقہ بہترین حل ہے ۔

غزہ کے ملبے میں دبے معصوم خواب ہوں یا بلوچستان کی وادیوں گھروں چوک چوراہوں جھونپڑیوں میں بکھری ہوئی لاشیں۔۔۔ درد ہر جگہ ایک ہی زبان بولتا ہے۔ کسی ماں کی گود اجڑتی ہے، کسی بہن کی آنکھ اپنے بھائی کی راہ تکتی رہتی ہے، اور کسی بچے کے ہاتھ میں کھلونے کے بجائے خوف رہ جاتا ہے۔ یہ صرف گھروں کے اجڑنے کا دکھ نہیں، یہ انسانیت کے زخمی ہونے کا نوحہ ہے۔ کاش دنیا ان آنسوؤں کی آواز سن سکے، کاش ہر مظلوم کے لیے امن، انصاف اور جینے کا حق صرف ایک خواب نہ رہے۔
