If Curry Barker makes an Obsession 2, repeating the toxic romance trope would be such a waste.

Since he already confirmed a sequel wouldn't directly continue the first film's story, turning it into an anthology multiverse is the absolute play.

Imagine Michael Johnston returns as a completely different variant of Bear. Not a desperate stalker this time, but a failing Silicon Valley tech CEO on the brink of absolute ruin.

He stumbles upon the exact same One Wish Willow. But instead of wishing for a girl, his corporate ego takes over.

He wishes for the entire world to become obsessed with his new app.

The horror immediately shifts from an isolated relationship to a global, apocalyptic dependency. The Willow’s curse hijacks the human brain right through the screen.

Within weeks, society just... stops. Global infrastructure collapses. Hospital staff, air traffic controllers, and engineers abandon their posts just to stare blankly at their screens. People literally starve to death in their homes because they can't look away.

Bear is initially ecstatic watching his valuation break records, completely blind to the danger until his own engineers go too catatonic to keep the global servers from melting down.

With humanity on the brink, a terrified Bear breaks into his own server room and triggers a hard manual wipe of the network.

The screens go black. The spell breaks. Millions of emaciated people finally look up, free.
