“We don’t get to Clock Out of Grief”
- Ashley Southard
A big shout-out and thanks to my many military spouse friends (plus a @rmanion cameo)! They do so much to support their service members and make service possible! 🇺🇸💪🏼 I see you!
The idea that women and queer people don’t get to “opt out” of politics assumes we are defined first by grievance.
I reject that.
I am not a talking point. I am a human being.
And my life is WAY bigger than politics.
I like Jack Hughes. He seems like he has a good heart. He's also 24 and hasn't yet realized that for women and queer people, our entire existence is political. Everything we do. All the time. We don't get to opt out of that. Yes, Mr. Hughes, everything is political.
Nancy Guthrie is still missing. A person was detained and questioned last night but that person has been released. Where is Nancy Guthrie?!

I’ll never get tired of Philly sports culture. Just checked out at the grocery store and cashier says, “Super Bowl meal?” I answer, “Yep!” She then fires back, “Yeah, f*** this game. Go Birds.”
The holidays can bring both grief and gratitude. At TMF, we carry on the legacy of the heroes we’ve lost by living with purpose and continuing the work they inspired. ❤️

Travis Manion was a brother, a Marine, and a shining example of what it means to live with character. Told through the voice of his sister, Ryan, this true story celebrates the everyday moments—and big decisions—that shaped his life.
From childhood fun and games, to teenage aspirations, to overseas battlefields, Travis lived by five simple lessons that continue to inspire all who hear them.
Honored to support @rmanion and @TMFoundation with the release of her amazing book “Things My Brother Used To Say.”

Travis may not be with us today, but I will always remember the example he set for me and his fellow Marines. He understood the importance of character, the value of leadership, and the power of bravery. — Ryan Manion, Things My Brother Used to Say
