Geraldine Tyler was 94 years old.

She owned a one-bedroom condo in Minneapolis. Paid off. Hers.

In 2010 she moved into assisted living after a shooting near her building left her afraid to stay.

She couldn't afford rent at the new place AND the property taxes on the old condo.

She fell **$2,300** behind.

Over five years, the county added almost **$13,000** in penalties, interest, and fees. A 550% increase on the original debt.

When she couldn't pay that, Hennepin County seized the condo.

Sold it for **$40,000**.

Kept every dollar.

Not the $15,000 she owed. All $40,000. The entire equity of a home she'd paid off.

A federal appeals court ruled that was legal.

She wasn't alone. Bennie Coleman, 76, was removed from his Washington D.C. home by U.S. Marshals over **$134** in unpaid property taxes. The house was worth $197,000. The government took all of it.

Tyler took her case to the Supreme Court in 2023. She won unanimously. Nine to zero.

It took a 94-year-old woman thirteen years and the highest court in the country to establish that the government can't keep your equity after collecting a $2,300 debt.

Thirteen years to prove that taking $40,000 to settle $2,300 is theft.

That's how far the system will go before someone stops it.

This story is actually insane. The police picked up a 16 yr old girl that was kidnapped by Omar (the guy Shiloh Hendrix insulted) and his brother at a gas station. They raped her for two days. She was found "sleep-deprived, dehydrated, and had not eaten recently" according to the nurse that examined her.

They found her glasses in their trailer. She identified them perfectly in a lineup.

Then, in the middle of the case, prosecutors discretely dropped charges with no explanation and no oversight. "In the interest of justice," they said.

This was just one month before the Shiloh Hendrix incident. During the Shiloh Hendrix trial, we find out that Omar's son, who is actually 9 even though it was claimed he was 5, already wears a ankle monitor because his father lets him wander off and steal things. As is expected, the father has faced no consequences for this.

In Minnesota, a single word is worse than kidnapping and raping a young girl. Two Somalian men abducted a young, vulnerable girl, then were shielded by the government and faced zero consequences. Personally, I think the charges were dropped to avoid their deportation.

On the flip side, a productive member of society gets probation, a jail sentence, and 200 hours of community service over a single word, with no violence involved in any way.

We can't live like this. We can't live in a country where foreigners are above the law, yet get to twist the law into a weapon against productive American citizens.
