I don’t understand why the wife ask for pocket money if all the money is hers/family money. She should freely take what she needs, responsibly considering the family budget and priorities.Asking for separate money from the joint pool treats a co-head like a child, not a partner

A man must provide his wife’s needs and more within his means. That’s his duty.If he fails when he can he’s irresponsible.
If he truly can’t she chose poorly.
If she demands beyond his capacity she doesn’t value the family.
