Why Staying Hydrated Actually Matters.
Most people hear “drink more water” and roll their eyes. It sounds like basic advice your mom gave you in primary school. The thing is, it’s basic because it’s non-negotiable. Your body doesn’t run on motivation, caffeine, or vibes. It runs on water.
How Much Is “Enough”?
Forget forcing 8 exact glasses. A practical rule: half your body weight (lbs) in ounces, or about 2–3 liters a day for most adults. More if you’re in Kano heat, exercising, pregnant/breastfeeding.
Better than counting: check your urine. Pale yellow = good. Dark yellow/amber = drink now.
Hydration isn’t a wellness trend. It’s maintenance. You wouldn’t run a generator without oil and expect it to last, same idea. Drink before you’re thirsty. Your body will work better, think clearer, and complain less.
