@ImFigure A lot of the larger budget games are super corporatized. They have full on departments for everything with people on salary. Bethesda has around 500 employees, even if everyone made only $50k/year, that's $25M/year just in salaries
@melofettii I've spent well over $1k on thumbnails, and unfortunately none have performed as good as the ai ones. It's unfortunate because I've always commissioned artists, but it just doesn't make sense when they perform worse.
@pixieefaee Those 2 games most likely use ai. Every professional programmer I know in every studio uses Ai. It's just how it is, and it's never going away
@UnifyDevv@EvanZir These are recent results I've gotten with playing around with thumbnails. You just need to keep iterating on thumbnails until you get good ones.
@UnifyDevv@EvanZir Again, cpp is directly tied to people actually being interested in playing your game. 2% ctr isn't the best, and clearly people aren't interested in playing so they don't join, leading to a higher cpp.
@Malroh33 Getting a click is significantly easier than keeping people. If it was easy to keep people, people would have really high retention and playtimes.
