Three vehicles. One blind spot. Two of them assumed it was safe to overtake just because the vehicle ahead did.
On NH 48 at night, a lorry safely overtook another lorry → its driver had a clear line of sight. The car behind it followed the same move without that visibility. So did the government bus behind the car. The bus couldn't complete the overtake in time and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.
One person died in the collision.
This is the core danger of blind overtaking: following someone else's move isn't the same as making your own informed decision. Only the vehicle at the front can actually see if the road is clear.
Never overtake based on what the vehicle ahead of you did. Verify the gap yourself, every time.🕯️

तकनीकी बहस को व्यंग्य की बजाय तथ्यों और विशेषज्ञ परीक्षणों पर आधारित रखना अधिक उपयोगी होगा। वाहन संबंधी समस्याओं का समाधान भी इसी तरीके से संभव है।

Group of tourists from Delhi created a public nuisance by drinking alcohol, using abusive language, engaging in obscene behaviour, and allegedly assaulting parking staff who objected. Uttarakhand Police have arrested the accused and seized the vehicle involved.
If these allegations are proven, such behaviour has no place anywhere—especially in spiritual towns like Rishikesh and Haridwar, where people come seeking peace and faith. Tourism should never become an excuse for lawlessness.
Authorities should continue taking swift action against public intoxication, violence, and nuisance, while strengthening weekend policing, vehicle checks, and enforcement in sensitive areas to help maintain public order and ensure everyone's safety.
