We have had a busy sporting week, it was the cross-country competition on Wednesday and Y5/6 & Year 3/4 girls came first, Year 5/6 boys came third, Bobbi-Lee came 1st and Oscar came 3rd. Plus, our Year 5 and 6 football team played their last match of this tournament on Thursday!
Year 5 have also been out on a trip to the Oriental Museum to continue their learning about Ancient Egypt.
Year 6 have been doing lots of reading around Black History Month and mastering their reading comprehension skills.
Year 2 have been learning about Nicola Adams and have created some informative posters about her.
Year 3 have been learning about Mary Seacole and sequencing the key events in her life.
Year 4 have been out on a trip and they had a fantastic time learning all about the Romans.
This week at Vane Road we have been celebrating Black History Month, going on trips and exploring the local area.
Reception have been out on an Autumn walk and they have been practicing their writing!
Year 1 have learnt all about Claudia Jones and have made carnival masks.
Year 3 have been doing science experiments with rocks.
Year 4 have been creating different colour tones.
Year 5 have been communicating without words in computing and practising mechanisms for pop up books in DT
Year 6 are working hard on their arithmetic skills
