Bitcoin is a useless antique.
Tokenized #Gold on a blockchain, as pristine collateral, is the real deal that will form the foundation of a new global monetary system.
@IranObserver0 Scratching my head here. Doesn't Iran have a share of the south Pars gasfield? Or is that insufficient for domestic consumption? Wouldn't it be better to develop that resource? Or is a pipeline faster? But of course, gas pipelines are physical bonds of relationships.
⚡️BREAKING: Iran's Security Chief Mohsen Rezaei in Moscow states that Russia will build a Gas Pipeline to Iran
"An initiative intended to allow Iran to cease its own gas consumption and sell Russian gas to neighboring regions"
BREAKING: A Pentagon intelligence report now directly describes Iran as an "emerging" space power capable of challenging U.S. military operations across the Middle East, despite American strikes on key Iranian space facilities, per the DIA via Axios.
The report says Iran took offensive action against U.S. space capabilities during the war, using land-based jamming systems to degrade GPS signals. U.S. officials are also alarmed by Iran's use of space intelligence to strike military sites more accurately, aided by satellite support from China and Russia.
Tehran operates roughly a dozen satellites—compared to the U.S.'s thousands. But analysts are questioning U.S. "space superiority." Todd Harrison of the American Enterprise Institute told Axios: "If Iran can degrade U.S. space capabilities, we don't have superiority… It's like declaring air superiority when the adversary is consistently able to shoot down your planes."
There are two new parallel physical #GOLD systems being built in Hong Kong right now:
1. A new bilateral OTC gold market via HKPMCC (JPM is on the board).
2. A new project called Ensemble: tokenized 400 oz LBMA-compatible gold on a blockchain ledger (Ant Tech – Alibaba Group).
In the middle of Israel’s genocide in Gaza, Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer teamed up with Mike Johnson and Mitch McConnell to invite their boss, Benjamin Netanyahu to give a speech in Congress.
During the speech, they gave him 28 standing ovations.
🇵🇾 BREAKING! Paraguayan President Santiago Peña has resigned over the Ueno Bank collapse.
Peña said he was stepping down for the country's stability, social peace and democratic institutions, and apologized "if at any moment I have failed." The announcement came as Congress debated his impeachment, and after he lost the backing of his own Colorado Party, whose leader Horacio Cartes supported the impeachment.
Peña, a former central banker and finance minister, took office in 2023 as the protégé of Cartes, a former president and tobacco tycoon.
An ally of Trump, Peña was also one of Israel's staunchest backers in South America. In 2024, he reopened Paraguay's embassy in Jerusalem, the first country to make the move since October 7, and Netanyahu called him "my good friend." In 2025, he designated Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization and extended the label to all of Hamas and Hezbollah, including their political wings, a decision Washington and Israel praised. Paraguay also remains one of the few countries that recognize Taiwan.
Congress must still decide whether to accept the resignation. Vice President Pedro Alliana, who also faces impeachment charges, is set to replace him.
WOW! BBC CALLS REPORTS OF BEATING A 14-YEAR-OLD BOY “RUMORS” AND DISMISSES FOOTAGE FROM A KIEV TORTURE PRISON AS “RUSSIAN PROPAGANDA”

The Economist inadvertently says something interesting about the difference between capitalist and socialist democracy.
“India’s political class should consider itself lucky. In next-door China, the Communist Party has to do something much more difficult than winning elections. China’s social contract requires the state to consistently raise living standards, the quality of life and national power in exchange for which citizens keep their noses out of politics. All Indian politicians have to do is to feign interest in their constituents once every five years. Yet instead of accepting this sweetheart deal, Mr Modi’s government is doubling down by suppressing protests that are attempting to enforce it.”
Having studied the Chinese political system and having travelled to China many times, I can say with some confidence that “citizens keeping their noses out of politics” is very much not an ambition of the CPC. There are extensive, growing networks of grassroots democracy. What is true, however, is that the government is expected to deliver for the needs of the people.
Meanwhile, the right to elect people who “feign interest in their constituents” is not actually that important to the hundreds of millions of Indians who live in desperate poverty. I am in New Delhi right now. It’s in many ways a delightful city, but the levels of poverty and inequality – along with the general dysfunction, political repression and religious/caste prejudice – are heartbreaking.
It may be tough to swallow, but the fact is that China is substantially more democratic than the capitalist countries.
