*Running, running fast through the forest. It was a good thing she had just gotten these shoes because at this speed she would wear through the tread. She had not been out in this way in centuries but the paths of this section of the forest remained unchanged. She was tracking~

As were we. Conditions were hard here. And we nearly starved that first winter. We sent the governor back to England for supplies. But he never returned on time. And then we were attacked. I’m the soul survivor of that forgotten massacre. The first colony, Roanoke.

My mother was a seamstress. My father a butcher. We were poor, but we were happy. /They/ were happy.

So did my own. She was also a herbalist, she acted as a natural healer. That kind of skill made her perfect for our colony. Of course that was centuries ago. I’ve been here ever since. Watching this place grow as it did. Wandering to every know edge.
