I feel that as someone who has done my best to exercise a certain level of integrity. I have a moral obligation to share some of my thoughts with you about believing in something.

More than 2 1/2 years ago, I found the shark cat and executed a pretty great trade with it. However, I strongly felt that the shark cat was destined for much more and could feel its immense potential.

With that being said, I took a massive leap of faith and reinvested a substantial amount of my own funds back into the shark cat. I did this because I truly believe in the project and was willing to become the buyer of last resort for anyone deciding to exit it.

This practice came at a relatively substantial price, both mentally and financially. It does not mean that I would do things differently if I could rewind back the hands of time (I truly wouldn’t) and I did know what I was signing myself up for when I did this. I signed up for a metric ton of adversity or what I like to call the journey of the MF sharks.

I say this as a forewarning to individuals with an inflated PNL who think they have the mental grit and capacity to believe in something through a seemingly endless down trend. You might, but statistically speaking you probably don’t. You will also be forgotten, laughed at and ridiculed.

The mental bridge and relationship I share artistically with the shark cat is what has given me the strength to keep swimming and my undying belief in its eventual success. Without my intense obsession and love for shark cat artwork, memes and storytelling. I don’t know that I would’ve made it this far.

It is very important to divorce yourself from the CT echo chamber from time to time. Failure to do so could result in financial ruin an emotional destruction of yourself if you make impulsive, irrational decisions and especially if you have a family.

All this to say, most people who shout their convictions from the rooftops are actually struggling immensely and unwilling to reveal the truth to you. For me to tell you that to DCA a coin through a 99.9% downtrend has been easy and anyone can do it would be one of the most irrational and false statements I could make to you. To even present my thesis of flipping Robin Hood as a certainty given those circumstances would also be a LIE. And I am not a liar. I am just someone who really loves shark cat and believes in its potential.

Believing in something is not easy, it is extremely challenging, and if you are not willing to write off whatever the dollar amount is that you invest into your project as well as the time aspect, opportunity cost, and other considerations you could be setting yourself up for disaster. I want everyone to win in the space who is a good actor, but I don’t want them to self-destruct their life in the process.

Keep dreaming, but manage your risk
