Hi everyone,

The hospital financial team has stopped by. They had mentioned sending my father to an acute rehabilitation center for 2 weeks to aid in his recovery. I was hoping it wouldn’t be crazy expensive but I’m wrong. Due to him being unemployed and not insured, it’s going to be $37,000. And that’s not even including the medical bills of him being in the hospital, medication as he is also diabetic, and in-home equipment for his recovery.

So my family and I are going to be creating fundraisers to support, making the goal $50,000. We originally were going to use a GoFundMe but it would highly dox myself and family so I’ve created a Ko-fi goal and my mother will create a GoFundMe for family and friends.

The last few years have been incredibly difficult for our family, with multiple losses, illnesses, and now my father’s stroke. My mother also has mobility challenges due to Multiple Sclerosis, making it difficult for her to provide the level of care he will need during recovery.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Last Friday, my father was outside for a long period of time to which we had believed he had gotten heat stroke when he started showing unusual symptoms. I told him to go get checked out but he didn’t want to until yesterday my mother took him to a walk-in care center. They immediately called for an ambulance having him taken to the ER.

Today, the doctor reviewed his MRI and other tests to conclude my dad didn’t have heart stroke but an official stroke. The fact he was out in the heat dehydrated was a coincidence in the situation and probably had nothing to do with him having a stroke. He is experiencing weakness on his left side but his speaking and eating capabilities are fine. He is going to need rehab and possible upgrades to the house to aid in his recovery. The problem will all this is he doesn’t have a job and doesn’t have insurance so we are trying to review financial options at this time.

As much as I want to just stream and make content, I know this is going to mess with me, cause more depression, and make it difficult for a lot of other things. I’m so tired. Tired of tragedy hitting my family and myself. To think that there was a possibility of not having my father this Father’s Day as we are still mourning the loss of my grandfather and my great aunt. I’m trying my best to stay positive but it’s really hard right now.

I was going to do something special for my 5th yr streaming anniversary but I honestly don’t know if I have the strength. I’ll try. I’ll also be trying to hold a donothon to take care of the expenses and debt of my family so I can work towards getting rid of it all. Thank you for the support, the love, and just overall compassion you have shown me. I’m so sorry that it seems every time we get passed an obstacle or tragedy another one comes along. 💜
