Labour, welfare spending has spiralled & it’s still accelerating. PIP claims are set to hit 4.7 million by the end of their term, costing £20 billion more by 2029. Support must go to those who truly need it, not ever‑milder conditions. A Conservative Government will reassess.
A £100m bus giveaway, tariff suspensions, and now ministers leaning on supermarkets for “voluntary” price cuts — even industry bosses are calling the whole thing “completely preposterous”. It’s policymaking by panic, not competence.
Labour’s fuel tax hike would hurt businesses and hammer hardworking families already stretched to breaking point. After @Conservatives pressure, it looks like Reeves may finally be forced into a U-turn.
Under the Conservatives, fuel duty was frozen or cut for 14-years in a row. Labour wanted to put it up during a cost of living crisis. That tells you everything.
Families can’t afford Labour.

Extremely sad to hear of the passing of Cllr Roger Lees.
Roger was an outstanding leader of South Staffs District Council and helped turn it into one of the best-performing district councils in the country. He will be hugely missed.

They can live up to their promises on standards and allow the Privileges Committee to decide whether Starmer lied to Parliament.
Or they can choose to put party before country.
King Charles used his White House state dinner toast to stress the value of UK–US alliances in what he called a contested world, while President Trump described the relationship as a unique friendship. Earlier, the King told Congress the partnership was more important than ever,
The Falklands are British. Full stop.
Not by accident. Not by ambiguity.
We fought for them when it mattered most and paid the price.
And because the islanders have chosen it, clearly and repeatedly.
There is no debate on this.
Our rejuvenated Conservative Party under the professional leadership of Kemi is, let’s be honest, the only credible choice to get our country moving forward again.
Starmer knew Mandelson had been fired twice for inappropriate behaviour.
Starmer knew Mandelson had associated himself with a convicted paedophile.
Starmer knew Mandelson was appointed before the conclusion of the vetting process.
The Prime Minister and government are far too distracted given the serious challenges we face - it’s time for Starmer to go.

A state visit by King Charles to the United States is still scheduled to proceed, following reports of a shooting incident in Washington DC over the weekend.
The Falkland Islanders have spoken time and again — they are British, they choose to remain British, and their democratic voice must always be respected.
The Falkland Islands are British…no matter what Donald Trump says.
We must defend British Sovereign territory, and to do that we must back our armed forces.
Only the Conservatives have a plan to reinstate the two child benefit, and use the savings to fund our military.
Marking the late Queen’s centenary reminds us how much the world has changed. King Charles spoke of how today’s challenges might have troubled her, but also of the “legacy of hope” she left behind a belief in peace, justice & security. Even her modest birthplace on Bruton Street,
