Fifty years ago today, Air France Captain Michel Bacos showed the world what true moral courage looks like.

When Flight 139 was hijacked by Palestinian and German terrorists and flown to Entebbe, the non-Jewish passengers were eventually released. Bacos and his crew were also offered their freedom.

However, Bacos, who also served in the French army under DeGaulle, refused to leave his Jewish passengers. All his crew also refused, without exception.

Instead, they chose to remain alongside the 94 Jewish hostages, fully aware of the danger they faced. As Bacos later said, abandoning his passengers was simply "unimaginable."

Days later, they were freed in the legendary Israeli rescue mission, Operation Entebbe, led by Yoni Netanyahu, who would die in the battle.

For his extraordinary courage, Bacos was honoured by both France and Israel. Yet his greatest legacy was not the medals he received, but the example he set: that decency, duty and humanity must never yield to terror or antisemitism.

Michel Bacos was a true hero. May his life, his courage and his memory forever be a blessing and an inspiration.

Ruad Azar, 37 ans, est un acteur arabe israélien et ancien combattant de la police des frontières israélienne (Magav).

Il a accepté de jouer un membre de l’unité Nukhba du Hamas dans Fauda afin de montrer au monde ce qui s’est réellement passé le 7 octobre 2023.

« Je suis fier de prendre part à cette saison de Fauda, qui montre au monde ce qui s’est passé le 7 octobre. J’aurais préféré ne pas avoir à ressembler aux meurtriers du Hamas, mais c’est mon travail et ma mission. »

Ce choix lui vaut aujourd’hui des insultes, des désabonnements massifs sur les réseaux sociaux et des menaces de mort de la part d’anti-israéliens qui l’accusent de servir la « propagande sioniste ».

Sa réponse est sans détour :

« Ils m’envoient des insultes, ils menacent de venir chez moi. Je n’ai pas peur. Qu’ils viennent. Qu’ils essaient d’arriver, je suis là. »

Ruad Azar a également révélé qu’il avait failli assurer la sécurité du festival Nova le 7 octobre. Il avait finalement refusé cette mission pour poursuivre sa carrière d’acteur, une décision qui lui a probablement sauvé la vie.

Pour certains, le véritable problème n’est pas qu’il joue un terroriste du Hamas. C’est qu’il soit un Arabe israélien fier de défendre Israël.

The world’s only Islamic nuclear power just surrendered to radical Islamist mobs on the street, giving them Netanyahu’s head to calm them down.

You are not fighting Israel.

You are destroying your own future.

By spreading lies, inverting reality, punishing the victim and rewarding the perpetrators, all for social media attention, you are tearing your society apart.

You demonize a country you know almost nothing about, while attacking your strongest allies and the very people who have contributed the most to America in science, medicine, and innovation.

Instead of hating and demonizing Israel, you should be learning from it.

This small nation works together, fights together, farms together, and survives together. It has shown remarkable resilience and deterrence while fighting barbarism on multiple fronts. A model that has survived for 5,000 years, not because of numbers or propaganda, but because of its essence, and will to live.

The most heavily armed nation on earth is also the most divided. When the supply chains collapse, those guns won’t protect you, they will turn against you.

Today you turn against Israel.

Tomorrow you will turn against each other.

The core reason behind the global hatred toward Israel is both demographic and ideological.

In one of karma's most poetic displays, ten Gaza Flotilla activists who skipped the ships and decided to walk to Palestine for a photo op never made it back home.
The freedom fighters decided to cross Libya, but were stopped and barred from continuing.
But being told to go home was not enough! So they sent a 10-member negotiation delegation, which was then also detained by a militia aligned with the Libyan Arab Armed Forces.
Apparently, these Islamists weren't as friendly as the Israel Defense Forces, and the virtue signalers who live for calling Israelis"monsters" and "baby killers" have been missing now for over 3 weeks!
These activists, hailing from countries including the United States, Spain, Italy, Poland, Argentina, Uruguay, and Portugal, were transferred to an illegal immigration detention facility in Benghazi, according to reports, with no communication and little hope of release.
Amnesty International has demanded their release, but maybe they missed the memo that other countries have borders. When you violate those borders, you go to jail or, worse, get executed.
The story has gotten minimal coverage as the rest of their friends prepare for yet another Flotilla trip to harass Israel, even though they claim they were tortured, beaten, and even raped last time they went. To me, it seems like a higher power wanted to make sure these pro-Hamas professional victims actually experience what they accused Israelis of doing to them. Seems like the Libyans are giving them a little preview of what would happen to them if Netanyahu actually let them enter Gaza.
