@SchtroumpfLily @ctwill6@RespectfulMemes Yep and yep, my horsey other half has said that it’s common in older horses that might struggle to get back up from having been laid down
@FuckCarsReddit@Wankpanzer Sadly public transport isn’t an option for me currently, as my shift work requires me to leave my house at 4 in the morning and trains or buses simply aren’t running at that time. I dream of the day when I can find a job closer to home and cycle there and back though
@bunsenbernerbmd On the left, our Spaniel who had 1 eye and on the right our Border Terrier who had a leg amputated because of cancer, both with enormous hearts. Sadly both have gone over the rainbow bridge and I miss them every day
@twlch63@WalesOnline This ^ 20mph and my Skoda is doing 1400rpm in the lowest gear possible so as to not stall, but at 30mph, also in the lowest possible gear, I’m doing around 1050rpm
@Thecarhoarder Just to add onto your point about 450 being useless as a personal street vehicle…. I strongly believe that anything over 200 brake (in the UK anyway) should require a further driving assessment, which would certainly cut down on 17 year olds crashing obscenely powerful cars
I guess it was only a matter of time before the anti-glasses grift became a thing?
This community is so hellbent on having a contrarian opinion on every incredible scientific invention.
@AldiUK I think Annie could be the face of the rescue category, found as a stray in Lancashire incredibly underweight and nervous, now she’s a healthy weight and much calmer (unless you’re a cat, rabbit, squirrel, or horse)
@Carpervert I generally have more respect for someone with an estate versus someone with an SUV. You’ll never see an XC70 being driven like a twat, unlike newer Rangies and Touregs (which I suspect have been adopted by the 500 and Adam crowd)
@TK42138@v8oholic I live in North Wales, haven’t visited London since I was a wee lad, maybe 20+ years now, and had a letter through advising that I couldn’t take my Shogun Sport into London…. Waste of paper much?
@yshahar The only thing my Superb estate can’t do that an SUV can do is tow heavier loads and be better off-road. And since I tow infrequently and never need to go greenlaning on my way to work, I’d say the estate trumps the SUV
@Bishop0151@climbtechy@yshahar If you’re using the chance of getting into a pile up as the basis for buying an SUV, why not go the whole hog and buy a tank? You’ll definitely survive a pile up in one of those!
@david_mccraw Why the hell would you want to go over 60 in an SUV anyway? The Jeep we have (which I hate, by the way) feels incredibly unstable at that speed! Plus you can definitely fit as much stuff in an estate (like my Superb) and you won’t look like a raging bellend
