That's not what "pay the teachers more" is saying. It's saying it will attract MORE highly skilled people. Some people certainly believe "teachers poor, therefore untalented," but the average view is that talent is being left on the table because of pay. Probably true to an extent, but I still question how much talent has to do with it versus disposition.

@Bmutch @jaycaspiankang What grade level/subject would you have wanted to teach? I think the personality problem is less of an issue for junior high and especially high school than it is for K-6th-ish grade.

That's non-negotiably a huge part but I'm still skeptical people want to live/work those hours and take on that mission. There are a lot of smart, talented people in kinda pointless jobs who would theoretically be a great fit but it feels like teaching still takes a certain type of personality that most people do not have.

Probably the worst coaching from @CoachDrinkwitz I've seen since the delay of game against K-State that everyone forgets because Mevis bailed him out with a 61-yard field goal. Fully incompetent.
