The West needs to provide Ukraine with what it needs to win - and we need to offer Russia strategic stability.
Russia has legitimate grievances and I have written at the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists about how the West should address them, by advancing strategic stability in Europe. For example removing sub-strategic weapons from Europe - Portugal to the Urals.
