The National Post recently crossed a dangerous line by publishing call for violence against Canada's federal NDP leader.
"Avi Lewis is not the threat that needs to be dealt with, Postmedia is."
NEW from @SMohyeddin who breaks it all down:

I recently wrote that Canada should explicitly interfere in the US election as part of the trade war. Not surprisingly, the Globe now has a story about the Trump admin interfering with the Alberta separation referendum

As the trade war with the U.S. escalates, Canada can look to learn from an American adversary which has had major success against it in an actual war: Iran

I've been working on this story for quite a while, and just as I was getting ready to publish the feds made today's pipeline announcement. I re-did the story in that context. You're paying high prices at the pump, and now you're paying for a new pipeline for those same companies
The Canadian government is designating a new oil pipeline as being in the national interest. But despite record profits thanks to the Iran war, the industry refuses to financially back the project

Alberta’s Pacific Link pipeline is officially a project of national interest. This means the permitting process is fast tracked and we can reach our goal to get final construction permits approved by September of next year!
One million barrels a day from Alberta to the west coast, and from there to the Asia Pacific and beyond. This means greater energy sovereignty for Canada and a better price for every barrel that leaves this province.
That is more than $20 billion a year added to Canada's economy and up to 140,000 jobs in Alberta, British Columbia and across the country.
Here is what it means at your kitchen table. Stronger paycheques. Tens of billions in new revenue for the hospitals, schools and roads Albertans use every day.
Canada broke off trade talks with the U.S. last Friday, citing last-minute unreasonable American demands. Trump is now renaming Lake Ontario in retaliation

The U.S. escalated its trade war with Canada this week as it applied import bans to Canadian goods and threatened to ban Bombardier from the country

Canada and Ukraine are planning to sign a 100-year pact on military and economic cooperation. Canada will produce millions of drones and join European air defence as part of the agreement

Setting up this account really shows me how far this platform has fallen since Twitter became X. I am "rate limited" and cannot follow any more accounts for a while, including my own publication. Utter disaster that a social media company is preventing new accs from engagement
🧵Massacre at Minab: The School That Became a Grave In the first hours of the Iran war, the U.S. struck the Shajareh Tayyebeh school in Minab, killing at least 156 people, including 120 children and 26 teachers. What happened on February 28 will go down in history as one of the single worst massacres committed by the U.S. government since the Vietnam War.
Survivors, first responders, parents and witnesses told @jeremyscahill, @MazMHussain & @SayahTweets their stories ⤵️
September 30 is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, also known as Orange Shirt Day.
Today is a time to raise awareness of the ongoing impacts of residential schools and remember the children who never came home. How are you honouring the day?
On the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, we acknowledge that commemoration events can bring up difficult emotions. If you or someone you know needs support, know that help is available. In that spirit, we share this list of mental health resources. You are not alone.

Here are the graves.
This Orange Shirt Day we are returning the Brandon Indian Residential School cemetery grounds to the Sioux Valley Dakota Nation on behalf of many First Nations whose children are buried here.
This is one of the most well documented burial grounds at a residential school in Canada with not only church and historical records but also contemporaneous newspaper articles describing what happened to these children.
You can not deny history.

Last year, I founded Tripwire, a Substack devoted to covering the intersection between Canadian and international news. As Tripwire grows, I’m making growing my online presence. This space will be for news and takes while Tripwire’s account will be focussed on my coverage there.
