@swissfootdata Maybe this red card being overturned is what is saving FIFA?! Not like they been accused of lacking integrity before. This could be a step in the right direction.
To the Americans:
I've travelled all over the world. I've familiarized myself with many places, and met many people. And I'm a Canadian, although I’m privileged to reside once again in the States.
And here's something I've noticed, and it’s a key element of America's continuing greatness:
You bloody Americans value success, and you believe in its existence.
This is something that doesn't really happen anywhere else in the world. Even in other free democracies—the United Kingdom; Finland, Sweden, and Norway; Australia, New Zealand and Canada; Germany, France, and the Netherlands (great countries all)—a counterproductive cynicism too often reigns.
Success is equated with exploitation.
Ambition is looked upon with contempt.
This happens sometimes in the United States too—particularly among the miserable progressives, who confuse their resentment, ingratitude and unearned skepticism with wisdom.
But in your great country, by and large, striving is admired and success celebrated.
This means that more people strive and succeed in the US than anywhere else. And it's increasingly obvious. You remain stunningly more innovative and productive than any people anywhere else on the planet.
And so I say, as all should who are fortunate enough to live in the western world, let alone America:
Thank God for the United States.
Thank God for the wisdom of its founders.
Thank God for its faith in the free market and in the natural rights of man.
Happy birthday, you damn Yankees and Southerners.
Long may your admirable country dominate the world.
Long may your freedom and hope provide an example to those suffering everywhere at the hands of their malevolent states.
May your two and a half centuries of unparallelled success be just the beginning.
Your country is the light of the world, and the city on the hill.
Thank God for the USA.
Happy 250th.
Dr. Jordan B. Peterson
Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸 As we celebrate 250 years of our nation’s history, we’re thankful for the freedom to gather, worship God and share the hope of Jesus!
Girls win at the Supreme Court — but not here in Minnesota.
Today, the United States Supreme Court ruled that Title IX allows states to require girls and boys to compete on separate sports teams.
But here in Minnesota, Keith Ellison and the DFL have declared war on girls' sports — taking aggressive legal steps to force girls, against their will, to compete against boys. It's unfair, and it's dangerous.
Every day across Minnesota, girls and young women head to soccer fields, softball diamonds, volleyball courts, tennis courts, hockey rinks, tracks, pools, and golf courses to train.
They dream of winning championships. They dream of earning scholarships. They dream of standing on the podium because they worked hard, trained hard, and competed fairly.
But Keith Ellison is crushing those dreams.
He has used the power of the Attorney General's Office to push an extreme agenda that threatens fairness in girls' and women's sports by forcing them to play against biological males.
I will take a different path when I'm Attorney General.
I will defend the right of Minnesota girls and women to compete on their own teams — free from the risks, dangers, and unfairness of being forced to compete against biological males.
Sports build confidence. Sports build character. Sports teach young people how to win, how to lose, and how to keep fighting.
Our daughters and granddaughters deserve a fair chance to compete, a fair chance to win, and a fair chance to earn scholarships.
As the Supreme Court said today:
"Title IX transformed American sports and American life. Enacted in 1972, that landmark law promoted equal opportunity for female student-athletes and has facilitated the extraordinary growth of women's and girls' sports over the past 54 years… females and males have inherent physical differences relevant to athletic performance — including height, weight, strength, speed, endurance, and jumping ability. Therefore, in contact sports, forcing female athletes to compete against males can create significant safety risks. And in virtually all competitive sports, forcing female athletes to compete against males can undermine competitive fairness."
Keith Ellison's views are out of touch. 27 states — along with the International Olympic Committee, the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and the NCAA — have banned biological males from competing in women's and girls' sports.
Yet Ellison is still forcing Minnesota girls and women to play against boys, claiming the Minnesota Human Rights Act requires schools to allow boys on girls' teams.
He is wrong.
Ellison has completely ignored the part of the Minnesota Human Rights Act that clearly and unambiguously allows separate sports teams based on sex. Minnesota Statute 363A.23, Subd. 2 (Athletic teams):
"Notwithstanding any other provisions of this chapter or any law to the contrary, it is not an unfair discriminatory practice for an educational institution or a public service to operate or sponsor separate athletic teams and activities for members of each sex or to restrict membership on an athletic team to participants of one sex."
And as the Supreme Court ruled today, sex means biological sex.
Keith Ellison is going to lose the legal war he's waging against girls' sports. Minnesota's daughters and granddaughters deserve better — and as Attorney General, I'll make sure they get it.
💥NEW: Alan Dershowitz: "If the Socialists pretend to be Democrats — and if the Democrats welcome them in — then they're gonna win elections on the basis of FRAUD. This is pure and complete fraud on the voters — and SHAME on the voters who fall for it!"
Important for Christians to understand why secular progressives ardently attempt to erase the (vast) Christian influence + presence in our nation’s founding:
The strategy = “Rewrite the PAST to control the FUTURE.”
“How do we keep Christianity and Christians from influencing the legislated morality of the country and continue its hurl toward more evil?
By deceiving people into believing the US was never largely influenced by Christianity in the past, so it never should be in the future.”
@howertonjosh My sentiments exactly. I get criticized in a blue State that is rushing to be like NYC and I’m not going down without a fight! So many pastors are weak and soft and silent. Thanks for speaking up so strong my friend!
This is my humble plea to every Christian pro athlete.
We have momentum on the field for the first time in a LONG time. Right now, it needs to be all gas, no brakes.
BREAKING: The three major U.S. broadcast networks, ABC, CBS, and NBC, have yet to report on DNI Tulsi Gabbard’s recent declassification regarding Anthony Fauci’s cover-up of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Those of us paying attention to his behavior and inconsistencies saw this all along. I was going crazy when Fauci said people could hook-up on tinder dates during Covid but we couldn’t worship together. Glad the truth is finally coming out. Sickening what they did to so many people.
Today, on my final day as Director of National Intelligence, I’m releasing never-before-seen communications and documents exposing how Dr. Fauci provided millions in US taxpayer dollars to fund dangerous gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab, worked with politicized elements within the Intelligence Community to suppress the truth about his actions and hide the virus’ lab-leak origins, and lied to Congress while under oath in 2024. It’s time you know the truth.

Today is Juneteenth. June Nineteenth, or “Juneteenth”, celebrates what happened in 1865: Federal troops arriving in Galveston, Texas two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, to ensure all enslaved people would be free.
We honor this day as a nation, celebrating the freedom it gave. We honor this day as a church to remember to always strive towards unity in the body of Christ and further break down the barriers of division the enemy tries to erect.
Let today bring unity and peace in all that we do.
Britain now arrests more people for social media posts than China, Russia, and Turkey combined nearly matching the rest of the top 10 countries combined
Britain really leads the world on these thought crimes
Insane how the UK, which used to be a free country, turned out to be so totalitarian
Towns gets a ring. (Truly happy for him.)
And MN has the longest streak of no championships locked down now. No one can catch us, (New York could have) we have the spot alone. We win a championship or we continue to be the longest championship drought sports State in the USA.
