Nationally 5,089 cases & 64 deaths.

Locally, 29 cases notified today which means 237 cases for the 7 days to 10 Mar 21 and a 7 day case rate of 92.4 per 100,000.

Looks like rate will drop below 90 in next two days. Positivity now 3.5%

Nationally down to 4618 cases & 52 deaths.

Locally, 30 cases notified today which means 256 cases for the 7 days to 09 Mar 21 and a 7 day case rate of 99.9 per 100,000.

Looks like rate will drop below 90 in next two days. Positivity now 3.5%

Nationally 6753 cases & 181 deaths.

Locally 28 notified cases for 7 day rate of 97.5 which is good but we are now the highest in WM and will go back over 100 the best 2 days.

Locally 48 cases for 7 day rate of 101.4 & 260 cases in week. I Expect to report we are <100 tomorrow.

Good news but remember England just 66, WM 82.2 & only Sandwell (115.4) have higher rate than us

Nationally 6,381 cases & 343 deaths

Locally we were notified of 33 new cases today for a 7 day rate of 142.8 and 366 cases fir the week.

We will drop into the 120s over next few days but are still well above England average of 97.1 & WM at 128.8

NEWS: #Staffordshire and #StokeonTrent topped the table last week for the highest percentage of over-70s to have had their first #coronavirus vaccine dose.

Nationally flat - 9985 cases & 323 deaths.

Locally 41 cases notified today to give 7 day rate of 149.8 & 384 cases

We will still plateau around 150 for a few days & then fall. We need to be at 100.

Nationally there have been 8,489 cases & 548 deaths notified today. Case rates & numbers dropping.

Locally we were notified of 36 new cases today to give 7 day rate of 143.9 & total of 369 cases.

2 more days slight rise then hopefully fall again.

Nationally 10,641 cases and 178 deaths. By contrast more than 18 Million vaccinations.

Locally 43 new cases notified - 359 cases in 7 days to 17 Feb for 7 day rate of exactly 140. It will rise slightly over next few days.

I have just written to all businesses in the City urging them to ensure that all their employees are tested once a week.

I see this as fundamental part of their responsibility to keep staff & customers safe & well.

Locally 66 cases notified & 7 day rate down to 235.6 & 604 cases.

Rates look likely to fall towards 200 by weekend.

Positive cases falling at Royal Stoke & down in care homes.

Locally 84 cases notified & 7 day rate 249.2 & 639 cases. Positivity still 8.7%.

12.3 million now vaccinated.

Thu 04 Feb 21. Covid Update. Still Continuing to improve!! Nationally 20,634 cases & 915 deaths. Locally 116 cases notified today & 7 day rate is down to 238.7 & 612 cases. That’s down 26% a week but the positivity is down to 8.4%. Brilliant! Please get tested - get jabbed! H-F-S
