Compared to 30 years ago, computers, make it much easier for an airline to recover from a storm, as well as other things such as fleet commonality, etc. make it much easier to recover from winter storms. It used to be to take a week or more for an airline to take recover from a serious storm. Now it takes a day or two for all of the most severe storms.
