**MITCHAM FIRE UPDATE** 💙🦁 💙
FROM THE ANDREWS FAMILY 🦁💙🦁
This time last Saturday (25/07/26) just before 3pm when Millwall was running on the pitch at Stevenage, the Andrews Family were running out of their burning house for their lives….
This fire has left them homeless with just the clothes they were standing in. They had to stand and watch their home and all their possessions burn to the ground while firefighters fought to get the fire under control.
As we, the family, are lifelong Millwall supporters I reached out on Facebook to see if our club could help with a donation of a new strip for the youngsters.
All I can say is WOW… I asked and you listened.
I cannot thank you all enough.
I will in a couple of days thank and post the generosity of the Millwall Supporters' Club, @The1885Show and in particular certain people individually and organisations that have helped, including Bat Scaffolding and Royal Antwerp.
I would also like to thank every one of you that has donated to the family through my JustGiving crowdfunding to help the family get back on their feet.
Currently the family are still in a hotel, they’ve been moved from 1 to another and only been given a stay for the next few days. It’s an extra stress and finance that the family doesn’t need.
This week we have 4 family birthdays and 3 of them milestones. Naomi the homeowner was 50 on Tuesday, Archie her youngest who lived there is 18 tomorrow. It’s Naomi’s other son Charlie’s birthday today and his boy Baby Charlie is 1 on Wednesday. Tonight, we should all have been celebrating at a big party for them all. All we can celebrate now is the fact that they, and their pets all got out alive.
Thanks for reading, thanks for your love & thanks for your support. We’re overwhelmed by your kindness.

Today, we remember Matija Sarkic on what would have been his 29th birthday 💙
A man who will forever be in the hearts of everyone connected with Millwall Football Club.
Today we remember a truly great man, our beloved former Chairman, John Berylson 💙
Three years on from his passing, we pay tribute to John and everything he did for our football club - forever a Lion.
It’s been a mad 15 years. It’s had everything thrown in there, from the highest highs to the lowest lows (on and off the field 😜).
My time was up, and no one was going to be able to make that decision other than me.
But in the meantime, I just want to say I ❤️ every single England fan and every single cricket fan who’s supported me over the years.
I ❤️ every single person I’ve walked out onto the field with representing England.
I could go on and on, but I hope you get the gist of how much I loved doing what I did for 15 years.
I’m looking forward to being a fan and supporting the team, and the odd day in hospitality won’t go amiss 🤣.
Family, friends, teammates, fans… I ❤️ yas all.

@Toonsy1892@MichelleDewbs Thank you for that from my experience they have a total different mentality than us from grass roots level and that is what brings their success, the youngsters are far my driven and willing to make sacrifices that then carry’s on the adult level with far more success
@Toonsy1892@MichelleDewbs With your coaching experience do you have any experience of coaching abroad and can you share the philosophy the French, German, Dutch and Spanish use during youth football years as it seems to have a good effect
41 years ago today Millwall were promoted after the game I was in the Five Bells in New Cross celebrating when the news came on the tv showing the Bradford fire. I remember the whole pub going quiet watching the stand alight and the fire spreading fast. RIP to the 56 who died.
