It was an honour to remember the D-Day fallen with Don this morning, the opportunities to meet with people like Don are becoming rarer and rarer, cherish every chance you get to talk to them and listen to their stories. #Wewillrememberthem#Lestwegorget#RBL
Eighty-two years ago, thousands of allied troops participated in D-Day, today we honor their service and sacrifice. Among those commemorating is 105-year-old D-Day veteran and Enfield resident Don Howkins, who laid a wreath in memory of his fallen colleagues. #WeWillRememberThem
All of us at Enfield RBL wish to express how sad we are to hear the tragic news that three Royal Navy personnel have tragicley died in a training exercise.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, shipmates and friends of the sailors that have made the ultimate sacrifice.

@DrBoofle@Jay_OCeal576@jasonkillens@Hatzola@Ldn_Ambulance For context the medical title of "Paramedic' is a legally protected one and can only be used by HCPC registrants, as someone who has worked alongside them over many years their paramedics will all be HCPC registered and some will be working in the NHS as well.
@DrBoofle@Jay_OCeal576@jasonkillens@Hatzola@Ldn_Ambulance The point of their existence IMO is members of a community volunteering to serve their community, similar to any voluntary medical organisation like St John Ambulance or British Red Cross. They have a mix of EMT’s and HCPC registered paramedics working on the ambulances.
Today we celebrate the 90th birthday of our former Branch Chairman Brendan Farrell, Brendan is an RAF veteran and has been a member of the Royal British Legion for more years than he would care to remember. Wishing you many happy returns Brendan from everyone at Enfield RBL.
Thank you to all the members who attended tonights AGM, it was great to see both familiar and new faces.
Particular thanks goes to those who were elected or re-elected to positions on the committee.
We are looking forward to another year supporting our veteran community.
