Not all battlefields are coastal areas and narrow fronts. The sheep constituting the professional defence class that have largely destroyed western military super superiority with smug lectures about doing more with less are now enamored with robot armies and drone fleets.
Ukraine showed new tech has good application. But without conventional and manned tech it is nothing. And maybe if Britain and the West lowered their arbitrarily exclusionary recruiting standards like Ukraine did (hiring older people, felons, people without high grades, who weren't in perfect physical shape prior to enlisting, etc..) they wouldn't have a shortage of recruits!
Oh, and for what it's worth the Ukrainian military isn't a woke infested diversity disaster that suffers under a defence establishment infected with disdain for everything about their country. They also don't give lawyers to the enemy, and fight to actually win.

US should tariff China $1 trillion and dump every penny of that into building up the US military; $1 trillion would add about 100 ships, 1000 combat planes, tens of thousands of missiles, 50000 troops, dozens of expanded shipyards and defense plants, ramp up missile defense, and otherwise reopen the capability gap that China has been working overtime to close.
