A couple of tidbits (for pinned tweet).

My big pet peeve is: false accusations against anyone.
@BlastyProspects It wonโt matter which dman SJS selects at 2OA as all of the top available dman in the draft have 2026/27 playing commitments. Reid will play for Michigan State while Carels & Verhoeff will be at UND. Smitsโ contract in Finland runs through 2027/28.
SJS selects Stenberg at 2OA.
@BigFlamesGuy Trading up in the top half of round 1 is extremely rare. I won't bet on that. With pick 6, I think Carels is the best choice being an LD. For pick 30 or 31 (Vegas Pick), Liam Ruck if available, otherwise Roobroeck, a 6'4" power forward centre.
@rakingfeet@TheProspectDon I expect the Sharks will resign 3 of their 4 x defence UFAs. Klingberg, Ferraro and Desharnais will return.
Even if they were to draft a D in the 1st round (pick 20), that player won't be an NHL regular for 1 or 2 seasons.
@SlapshotShibe I donโt see the value in this move. McKenna, Stenberg & Maholtra will all be off the board by pick #4. The Carels, Reid & Verhoeff cluster are very similar.
@kevole I agree Kevin. Social media-driven mock drafts and draft rankings tend to focus on positional needs over best player available. I don't think there will be any trade-ups in the top 10 picks. Where things can get interesting is the order of drafting of Carels, Reid & Verhoeff.
@beauti_animals Downtown Vancouver at the corner of W. Georgia and Granville.
The older building on the left is the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, a classic.
@VancouverKnit@jabo_vancouver Nashville holds pick 10. Why in the world would they trade down 14 spots for the modest upside of the 1st pick in the 2nd round? Not a chance this would happen.
@Veer976 Conroy has said multiple times that the Flames will select BPA at pick #6. Some people favour position picks, especially centre, which I doubt will happen at that pick position.
