Very little attention in UK media thus far to this story - low prominence, few details of injuries, who the victims are, where they were when the attacks took place, community reaction https://t.co/Lm2Bg1XSZv
@johnwalker_1986 Would you go back 5 even if Tierney unfit (he did go off last game looking like he’s picked up a knock)? Can’t think of a time we’ve looked good in a back 5 without him being there.
NEW: Israel is, once again, bombing southern Lebanon, with reports that eight people have been killed, including four members of the same family - a husband, wife, and their two children.
The idea of a ceasefire seems ever more detached from reality
@theneudad@BarryAnderson_@DallasTexasTV I think a couple of things can be true at the same time. 1) Majority of England fans are decent people behaving well, 2) There remains a cultural problem and lack of self policing that means big groups of England fans sing stuff about German bombers, etc without being challenged
My Scotland 🏴 XI for Morocco 🇲🇦:
• 2 changes from Haiti: Hanley & Shankland out for McKenna & Christie.
• I can see the logic behind 3/5 at the back to try and nullify an offensively dangerous Morocco side, but I just think this formation, and the absence of Ben Gannon-Doak, could leave us sorely lacking an attacking out ball/counter-punch.
• Horses for courses at the back, Morocco have a lot of skilful, tricky players up front who could expose Hanley’s deficiencies. Hendry and McKenna the most agile pairing.
• Think an extra body in midfield is a must given Morocco’s quality in this area, with Adams edging Shankland up top due to his superior ability to press from the front and pose a threat on the counter.
What Scotland lineup would you like to see? 👇🏻
We published a report last year with evidence that the widely cited Henley & Partners wealth migration reports appeared to contain fabricated data.
H&P have just published their latest report, and it contains no migration statistics. They've dumped their previous approach.
The explosion of billionaire wealth has been one of the defining features of our time.
Globally, billionaires used to own wealth equivalent to 3% of world GDP in the 1980s.
Today: 17% of world GDP.
And the upsurge is accelerating.
Scotland weren't great against Haiti, but:
There were 4 short-priced favourites to win on Saturday (Switzerland, Brazil, Scotland and Turkey). Scotland were the only ones to win.
We're 8 games into the World Cup and Scotland are the only European team to win.
Those who celebrate @elonmusk's $1 trillion fortune need to be reminded of a simple and vital truth:
That there is a fundamental tension between extreme wealth and the very possibility of democracy.
Israeli lawyer Ben Marmarelli says Palestinian prisoners he represents beg him not to visit because they're raped each time he is due to meet them.
This is a scene from Al Jazeera's shocking new documentary on Israel's systematic use of rape.
