La primera ministra de Dinamarca, Mette Frederiksen:
"Existe un vínculo totalmente establecido entre el poder político, el capital, los gigantes tecnológicos y la IA. Y el propósito de todo esto es socavar la democracia. Ese es el objetivo".
@suchan104@RichardHanania LOL. Still repeating the same nonsense since 2015. In fact, racism is so not central to our political discourse that a party which has “stop the boats” as the only policy aim is doing really well 🤣🤣🤣
@freerobnz@RichardHanania Inflicted by whom?
Answer: the same politicians who promoted Brexit.
Also, pre-Brexit the UK could remove EU citizens that didn’t meet the criteria for FoM. The fact the politicians people like you voted for didn’t care, is comfortably ignored.
Stop playing the victim.
Artificial intelligences do not undergo experiences, do not possess a body, do not feel joy or pain, do not mature through relationships, and do not know from within what love, work, friendship or responsibility mean. Nor do they have a moral conscience, since they do not judge good and evil, grasp the ultimate meaning of situations, or bear responsibility for consequences. They may imitate or even simulate, but they do not understand what they produce, for they lack the affective, relational, and spiritual perspective through which human beings grow in wisdom. #MagnificaHumanitas
Not defending the people in the video, but scenes like this are an almost inevitable consequence of the destruction of outdoor lidos & the poisoning of rivers across London. It’s madness for a city the size of London to have only one set of wild swimming ponds; conveniently located in one of the wealthiest areas. We should demand a *minimum* of one wild swimming spot in every London borough. The creation of new ponds & wetlands and the cleaning & restoration of existing waterways this would entail would also be fantastic for nature. With a little effort & imagination we can have more than enough waters for Nature & for humans.
@DAaronovitch@paulpowlesland@GarethDennis The ponds you listed clearly can’t accommodate the kind of demand we have during a heatwave, given how there’re no slots available until June 2nd
@CryptoMikli Sometimes I have a couple of drinks. The following morning my watch tells me I’m basically dead. I have a good breakfast, drink a lot of water, drag my sorry self to the gym and miraculously I’m still alive and capable of doing a good workout
@irgarner@Steven_Swinford@JoeLitobarski@eleanorhayward But no one is saying that and also, they’re looking at 16-24 across the country and housing isn’t “impossible” everywhere. And you know better than me how the perception of something can have a bigger impact on one’s mental wellbeing than the thing itself.
@irgarner@Steven_Swinford@JoeLitobarski@eleanorhayward It’s actually phones that make you think everything is terrible. Previous generations who didn’t have access to 24/7 news from across the globe, were only concerned with their immediate surroundings, and felt like had the tools to deal with that.
@blanx500@robwat5062@Simon_Nixon Also, from covid onwards (and I’d say also with Trump and the AI push) we have found out that while running services is great, we still rely on physical goods and we also need an industry.
@blanx500@robwat5062@Simon_Nixon In principle I’d say yes, but given how the US are giving into malignant corporatism I don’t think that’s a good idea.
The US have embraced a way of government and life that’s toxic to most; I don’t think it’s just a fluke and things will get better post-Trump.
@AFucksake69@politixintheuk You’re funny.
Keep up the good work.
(And by ‘good work’ I mean crying on X about how mean the world is to people like you)
