@CWCB_DNR is celebrating the issuance of a decree today for instream flow (ISF) water rights on Himes Creek. @SanJuanNF sought an ISF to protect one of only five known distinct populations of San Juan lineage Colorado cutthroat trout, a lineage previously thought to be extinct.

@CWCB_DNR recently received a decree for instream flow rights on 2 reaches of Disappointment Creek. Recommended by @BLM_CO, & located near the Town of Dove Creek, these water rights will protect the creek's natural environment which includes roundtail chub & flannelmouth sucker.

Yesterday, @CWCB_DNR received a decree for an instream flow water (ISF) right on Bonnett Creek. Located in Huerfano County this ISF was recommended by @COParksWildlife to protect the self-reproducing population of brook trout found in this creek. Happy #EarthDay

Earlier this week the @CWCB_DNR was granted a decree for instream flow water rights on the East Fork Little Cimarron River. Thank you to the @BLM_CO who recommended this stream reach located in Gunnison County to protect the self-sustaining population of brook trout.

@CWCB_DNR was decreed an instream flow on Cold Spring Creek today. This ISF is located 28 miles SE of the City of Gunnison & supports a diverse macroinvertebrate community, aquatic vegetation such as watercress, & a riparian community of willow species, blue spruce, & gooseberry.

Over the weekend @CWCB_DNR received instream flow (ISF) decrees for Hahn & Lost Creeks, which are located in Rio Blanco County. @COParksWildlife recommended these creeks for inclusion in the ISF program to protect self-sustaining populations of Colorado River cutthroat trout.

Today @CWCB_DNR received a decree for an instream flow on Abrams Creek located in Eagle County. This water right is one part of a collaborative multi-stakeholder project to protect this genetically unique Colorado River cutthroat trout fishery. Thank you to all our partners.

@CWCB_DNR just received a decree this morning in Water Division 4 for an instream flow (ISF) water right on Dutchman Creek. Thank you @HCCACB & @wradv for your work on this ISF recommendation, which will help protect brook trout habitat and the riparian plant community.

@CWCB_DNR Just got an early Xmas present, a decree for an Instream Flow on the Apishapa River in Las Animas County. @COParksWildlife recommended this 4.5 mile stream reach to support the river's self-sustaining brook and brown trout habitat.

Today the Div.7 Water Court issued a decree to @CWCB_DNR for an instream flow water right on Vallecito Creek. This recommendation was requested by @SanJuanNF to protect the habitat of the resident self-sustaining populations of rainbow, brown, brook, & hybridized cutthroat trout.

Last Friday instream flow water right decrees were issued to @CWCB_DNR for Rock Creek (Water Division 1) and Elkhead Creek (Water Division 6). These new water rights aim to protect greenback cutthroat trout in Rock Creek and Colorado River cutthroat trout in Elkhead Creek.

Yesterday @CWCB_DNR received a decree for natural lake level water rights for Square Top Lake (Upper and Lower), located in Clear Creek County. These 2 high elevation alpine lakes are being managed as a future reintroduction site for greenback cutthroat trout by @COParksWildlife.

Trifecta of Instream Flow water rights totaling 24.5 miles were decreed to @CWCB_DNR on Friday. They are Dry Fork Roan Creek (Garfield County), North Fork Elkhead Creek (Routt County), and Slater Creek (Moffat County). News like this makes for an awesome Monday.

Great news from last week. @CWCB_DNR received a decree for an instream flow water right on West Fork Terror Creek in Delta County. The trout population in this stream reach is comprised of genetically pure Colorado River Cutthroat Trout of the Colorado-Gunnison (GB) lineage.

Yesterday, the Div. 4 Water Court decreed an Instream Flow (ISF) water right to @CWCB_DNR on Brush Creek located just east of Crested Butte. This ISF recommended by @HCCACB and @americanrivers aims to protect the creek's Colorado River cutthroat trout population. Awesome news.

Division 1 Water Court just decreed Instream Flow (ISF) water rights to the CWCB on Boxelder and Sand Creeks. Thanks to CPW and the Larimer County Department of Natural Resources for their hard work on these recommendations. Great way to end the week.
