Hey, @RealDeanCain! I just finished watching all 4 seasons of “Lois & Clark” last night after probably 4 months. I’ve been waiting til I was finished to ask if you had a favorite episode? 90’s sitcoms are television GOLD—An era that can never be replaced!
I am so grateful for the steadfast Christlike example of my dear wife, Susan. When she and I spoke together recently at a Worldwide Devotional for Young Adults, she provided inspired counsel on how we can replace fear with Christlike love and faith. And I wanted you to have an opportunity to learn from her.
During this season of giving thanks, “I cannot say the smallest part” (Alma 26:16) of how thankful I am for my wonderful eternal companion and her example to me.
Human trafficking doesn’t take a holiday.
While reports may not increase during the season, busy shopping and transit hubs can create opportunities for traffickers. NCMEC's Staca Shehan highlights the signs to watch for.

#OTD in #history 1973, the Senate confirmed Gerald Ford VP after Agnew resigned due to tax fraud. Soon, Ford became #POTUS after Nixon resigned due to Watergate. In 1977, new Pres. Carter said: For “our Nation, I want to thank my predecessor for all he has done to heal our land.”
When we give thanks in all things, we see hardships and adversities in the context of the purpose of life. We are sent here to be tested. There must be opposition in all things. We are meant to learn and grow through that opposition, through meeting our challenges, and through teaching others to do the same.
When we understand the principle that God offers us opportunities for blessings and blesses us through our own adversities and the adversities of others, we can understand why He has commanded us again and again to “thank the Lord thy God in all things” (Doctrine and Covenants 59:7).

I’ve never, ever seen this photo the Eisenhowers at President Kennedy’s funeral, and I’ve seen a lot of them.
Thanks for sharing this history, @IkeLibrary!
Funeral for assassinated President John F. Kennedy took place in Washington, DC #OnThisDay 61 years ago: Nov. 25, 1963. President Kennedy was laid to rest in @arlingtonnatl. This photo shows fmr. President Dwight D. Eisenhower & fmr. First Lady Mamie Eisenhower at JFK funeral.
#OTD in #history, 1963, #JFK's funeral was held, watched on TV by nearly every #USA adult. LBJ memorialized him by offering us a path forward: “he lived long enough and well enough to...reaffirm our commitment as a people to the great purpose for which this nation was created.”

@ClintHill_SS Mr. Hill, I was just talking with my 15-year-old daughter last night about you.
You will ALWAYS be remembered as an example of courage and bravery. We’ll make sure of it! 👊
@RobertKennedyJr I took this picture last year on the 60th anniversary of President Kennedy’s assassination.
“Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer but the right answer.”
#OTD in #history, 1963, #JFK was killed. His life was cut short. But his aspirations were not. Inspired in part by his legacy, much of what he hoped was soon achieved, like Medicare, civil rights reform, and a man on the moon. "A man may die," JFK argued, "but an idea lives on."
