@moneylinechad Uhhh no. If anything it’s Rengifo. Everyone on the field knows Ohtani is going to steal 2nd. If you’re swinging, you better be able to have the ball find grass
@RIPPEY720@VanHicklestein Sure, but acquiring Soto wouldn’t take us out of the market for a mid-rotation starter on a rental contract. We’d take on Corbin in a Soto deal too.
Pitching gets better in the colder months, so Miles, Waino & maybe Hudson with a rental will be good enough if the runs are there
@HofMcLaurin You’re not very bright are you? Players are taught as 7 year olds to look back the runner on third before throwing down... the Reds intentionally baited him and he still threw it without a single hesitation
@BluesPackCards @CrashStL Absolutely agree and I would love Soto. That said, the real comparison is the added potential careers of the other prospects involved in addition to Walker and then comparing team friendly contracts to what is sure to be the most expensive contract in baseball with an aging core
@JustinM21648176 @CodeBeard23 @Ben_Fred @CardinaIfan People said that about last year’s rotation and that team was the hottest team in baseball to close out the year. They’ll figure it out. Baseball is a long season and we’re right at the halfway point. So far this year, this team has looked WS bound and has looked awful at times
@stl_nation Helsley was the one who blew this game. There’s not a single piece we could add that would change tonight’s outcome.
If you’re trying to make a broader point that isn’t relevant to this game then you frame it poorly
Six finalists, five winners. The Cardinals boast the most Gold Glove winners in a season in MLB history:
Paul Goldschmidt (1B, fourth)
Tommy Edman (2B, first)
Nolan Arenado (3B, ninth straight)
Tyler O'Neill (LF, second straight)
Harrison Bader (CF, first)
