now ye need not fear the grave:

Calls you one and calls you all
to gain his everlasting hall.
Christ was born to save!

Been posting Christmas hymns all week with some scripture to reference. This one’s for you @SlowToWrite
Born thy people to deliver,
born a child and yet a King,
born to reign in us forever,
now thy gracious kingdom bring.
Luke 1:68-79
Luke 2:11
Ezekiel 36:26
Matthew 3:2
At the risk of being excommunicated from Christian social media, I’ll just come out and bravely say that almost every Christmas hymn is terrible.
There are maybe 2-3 good Christmas songs, but the rest of them are awful.
I’m tired of singing about the atmosphere of that holy night. Give me songs about the Son of God, not the setting!
Fellow Christians who dislike Christmas hymns…bravely step forward! Don’t be afraid! I’ll take all the bullets for you. 😂
O come, O King of nations, bind
in one the hearts of all mankind.
Bid all our sad divisions cease
and be yourself our King of Peace.
Psalm 2
Isaiah 2:2-4
Isaiah 9:6-7

THREAD: Job the Righteous Sufferer
The Biblical narrative contains numerous examples of ‘righteous sufferers’—men who suffer not as a result of their own sin, but because of and to some extent *for* the benefit of others.
Joseph, Moses, Elijah, Jeremiah—the list goes on.
Hey @icyywen my daughter played her first basketball game tonight and said she tried to model her game after you. 5 boards, 4 points (including the game winner), and 3 steals. War Eagle!
I’m encouraged by Twitter tonight; the inherent value of Damar Hamlin’s life as an image bearer of God is on full display. Praying to the one in whose image Damar was made.
Preparation for ministry involves more than intellectual-doctrinal development. It involves the development of character.
Gentleness in ministry matters more than you think.

Bible study tip:
Why did God create you? To glorify him.
How do you glorify God? By loving him and obeying his commands and laws.
How is the scripture teaching you to love God? How is the scripture calling you to obey? By answering and doing these you fulfill your purpose.
