After 12 months, 60 uses, 212 cylinder cuts and 78 rotary cuts… it’s time.
The pitch has done its job, but now it’s time to take it all up and start again.
📸☀️Another lovely offering from the stadium team for this double game week. Saturday v BCFC and today welcoming QPR to the KP. Well done lads 🤌🏻🤌🏻 #lcfc#team@Rob_Welsh85@Pickin27
After a long, dark, wet winter it’s good to see the pitch in a positive place.
Raking out the yellowing leaf and cleaning up the surface to let some air and light in. Small jobs that help encourage that fresh growth as we head into the final push towards the end of the season.
Matchday 21 at King Power Stadium ☀️ After a tough week weather-wise, it’s great to see the sun back and the pitch responding well after a much-needed three-week break. Still areas to improve, but we’re in a strong place — hard work always shows. 💪🌱
As we enter 2026, we’ve come through 11 uses at King Power Stadium since November often in challenging conditions including a fixture at –5°C. This break is a key opportunity for recovery, and I’m proud of the professionalism shown by our grounds team during this demanding period
Matchday 17 at King Power Stadium. A demanding run of fixtures and tough weather, but the pitch is holding up really well for this time of year. One more Women’s game tomorrow before the busy Christmas period. Credit to all the staff for their hard work. 👏
Another match day in tough conditions after a difficult few days. Proud of how the team pulled together. Hard work paying off, and the pitch is looking great after a productive 3-week break. 💪
Tuesday night under the lights and the final game in a busy spell at the King Power. The pitch is showing some signs of wear but has held up well throughout. Time now for some much-needed recovery. Great effort from the team 👏🌱💙🦊
First of three matchdays in four days for us at the King Power, and an early start this morning for the visit of Blackburn. The boys have done a great job with the pitch in my absence, and we’re in great condition heading into the long winter months.
MD8 under the lights at King Power Stadium 🌙⚽️ Just 48 hours after Sunday’s Women’s game and the pitch looks outstanding 👏 Huge credit to the grounds team!
Matchday 6 ✅ | Coventry
Despite recent weather, the pitch held up well. Big credit to the team for overcoming challenges pre & post-match. Now focus shifts to recovery ahead of next weekend.
Early start today at the King Power for the opening fixture of the new WSL season.
The pitch has responded really well to the recent work undertaken and is looking in great condition ahead of kick-off. Always rewarding to see the preparation come together on a big matchday.
Match day 2 of the Championship season.
Pitch looking great in the sun, but the work never stops. Post-game rake & some dressing next week to keep improving.
Great to have new apprentices gaining matchday experience — teamwork makes the difference! 💪d
Match day 2 - Great offering by @Rob_Welsh85 and the stadium team. Good 3pts before internationals break!
Bit of a clean out coming up over the next week or so starting tonight… #lcfc#team 🦊
