I m really looking forward to the #volunteer private view today of the new first floor exhibition space at @TwickMuseum. New cabinets has enabled them to get more artefacts on display than ever before. They have cabinets dedicated to the histories of not only #Twickenham but #Whitton, the #Hamptons and #Teddington. They also have special areas dedicated to important aspects of the history of 25 The Embankment, namely to the #Twining family who came to Twickenham at the beginning of the 18th century and owned the property, and to the #Watermen who skilfully transported the public up and down the Thames in their #Wherries.
The Twickenham Museum is scheduled to reopen on Friday 17th May from 11am. They look forward to seeing you there and hearing your reactions to what has been achieved.
