Back to reality with an almighty bump bump tonight. I get that there are tired legs from Sunday, but we haven't even breathed on them, let alone landed a punch. League should be bread and butter, cup run or not #pvfc
Can't wait for a time me where I don't feel as though I'm reflecting what's happening on the pitch - just going through the motions watching that shite. Got a feeling I'll be waiting a while - Do I start researching National League grounds just to be safe? #pvfc
#pvfc so much better today. To a man, they each gave what is expected in the shirt - grit, fight, commitment etc. Don't care if it was ugly at times, what matters now is results (even though I think we're gone anyway)
@_hospital_pass I know that it's a separate entity, but I feel like ke the he whole club has take the eye off the ball, so to speak. Main focus should be what is on the pitch, nothing else (until we are established/successful). The stats driven thing is the one that really bothers me though
@AleAndValePod and any other #pvfc fans - just wondering whether this season has highlighted the biggest failing of the club overall, that we are trying to do too much too soon. Have we shown why other clubs of our size don't do so much on the community side (not having a dig)...
3/ Look around the pyramid, you will notice a pattern to which clubs are half decent on the pitch AND do the really good community stuff. Where we are, it is either or, and ultimately as fans, we're expected to go with it.
2/ and do other clubs of our size have this obsession over data? It's seemed to be the be all and end all for us recently, ignoring the most important - what we can all see on the pitch. For me this stuff comes after success on the pitch, not to the detriment of it.
@unofficial_vale IF any of this is true, then I'm glad to see that there's finally some pragmatism being shown. There's no room in modern football for sentimentality, which is part of the reason why we are here. Anyone looking at us from the outside last summer could see we'd struggle
@AleAndValePod Interesting thoughts about GK. For me, I think we need a bread and butter shot stopper, who also has a long kick to relieve pressure. We're a div 3/4 club, why have we fallen into this trap of tap it around the back? (we're not the only ones) What is the GK main purpose? 🤷
#pvfc - horse, stable door, bolted come to mind. Should have gone eons ago, unless new man is already lined up. Otherwise we have to recruit, give time to assess squad, shift deadwood and recruit to give (the slimmest) chance, all within a month. Good job we're already down...
Already wound up by #pvfc, but RS doing their best to wind me up further. Vale fans discussing the shit show, only to be interrupted by the borefest that is Mark Robins and a pointless interview with some random player (not ours). Be different if it were the other way around 🤷
IF we get a Christmas miracle, and he's gone, I don't want another 'nice' bloke in. What we need is a horrible bastard in who will get us playing out wide (we never use the massive VP pitch to our advantage) and not being afraid to ruffle a few feathers. One can dream... #pvfc
