(This issue is retroactively reframing other issues, which is among the many reasons I've said about 15 times on the show now that it's not particularly helpful to anyone to have it drag on.

People will fact check Kobayashi's claim now that NOBODY from the RCMP has weighed-in on the building's final design good or bad until now (really?) and suddenly anybody asserting otherwise will look odd.

Which never would have happened if this hadn't been dragged out this far. But it was. And here we are. #yyj)

Mayor Kobayashi's statement that no RCMP assessment of the final design had been received by the mayors and CAOs until now is curious and can be parsed multiple ways.

Does Kobayashi intend to imply that any negative opinions we may have seen published before this point were NOT the opinions of the RCMP?

Because we've seen no shortage of opinions. It's a curious way to phrase it.

Since 2022 onwards, the RCMP expansion has been publicly referred which “spans planning, financial modeling…” which includes the RCMP PR team.

What changed between Nov 22nd and December 8th?
