Mobile app founders: how does paid conversion compare between Google Play and the App Store for your apps? 📱
Does Android really convert that much worse? Launching on iOS soon and curious what you’ve actually seen.
Would love some real numbers 👀

@Mr_Swiftly@seanallen_dev Thanks, that’s a really interesting insight! I’ve already downloaded the RevenueCat report. Looks like I need to finally sit down and give it a proper read 😅
@Mr_Swiftly Thanks! 🫶 It’s freemium with a hard paywall once you hit the limits. Task and expense lists are tailored to each market (PL/USA for now). In Poland, for example, you can complete 30 of the 113 tasks for free, then pay to unlock the rest.
Hey X 👋 Designer turned app builder here.
Currently building a wedding planning app 💍
→ 400+ users from paid ads on Android
→ Putting the finishing touches on iOS
→ Just 2 sales so far
Now figuring out monetization. Sharing the journey as I go.

@valerioamirani I think I’ll go paid upfront on iOS, while using PostHog to understand user behavior on Android. I know it won’t be a clean comparison across platforms, but I can always change the model as I learn more.
@valerioamirani Also considering a lower-priced, paid-upfront iOS version. Wedding planning is a slow process, so users might take weeks or months to hit the free limits. Would you test that or stick with freemium?
@valerioamirani Actually, I’m only setting up PostHog now 😅 Didn’t add analytics at launch, so hopefully I’ll finally get some insight into what’s happening.
