@peter_levy so solar chap says 1% of Lincolnshire, Tory Councillor says they will fill a lot more. Please find an independent BBC journalist to work it out. After all the applications will have all the information needed. Built, permissioned and proposed would be a start.

@peter_levy councillors are paid elected representatives of the community. If they are not paid a fee, we would only have rich people deciding what happens locally.
To be fair the councillor wasn’t helping herself but she was probably right in her renumeration if not the rest

@peter_levy this all happened in the East Riding in 1996 (1995 inception). It still has local councillors to report missing bin collections. I feel sorry for the staff, they are the ones that tend to lose out not councillors or residents.
