Another one...
Don't know this guy and obv doesn't know me, unaware the SNP invited me three times to deliver guest lecture at annual conference. Also gave me access to membership for survey twice and I've interviewed every leader since Robt McIntyre + countless others.
Scotland was asked to vote while the biggest corruption scandal in SNP history was still being kept from full public scrutiny.
The stench around this party just gets worse.
@meljomur@Cairngorm22 Hell hath no fury like a woman who saw multiple opportunities to advance the cause of independence squandered while the money raised to do so was stolen & corruption flourished while numpties and nodding donkeys looked on. There fixed that for you 🤦♀️
Commons Speaker Lindsay Hoyle has granted a waiver for MPs to discuss the Peter Murrell case.
We are now expecting a press release from the Scottish Affairs committee.
Ross Greer says quite clearly the public don’t have confidence in our politics so why then has he fixed it so his pals won’t be subjected to an inquiry with the power to compel witnesses or documents? Why does he fear effective scrutiny?
Watching Holyrood debate on an inquiry. When my name was mentioned as a whistleblower on SNP finances & governance culture who was bullied for her trouble some MSPs jeered. That’s no surprise to me as some of the bullies and those who enabled them are now SNP MSPs. Charlatans.
There are far too many unanswered questions, far too much inconsistency from the SNP. This must be separately and forensically analysed by qualified independent investigator(s) with full access to information, data and witnesses. Nothing less should be accepted.
Let me be very clear. I do NOT support the Green amendment. It is an attempt to evade the very serious issues that require focus on SNP financial mismanagement.
The SNP’s latest use of freebies to buy votes (which the Scots keep falling for).
Of course, it’s not a free £10,000 grant—it’s a shared-equity scheme (like an interest-free equity loan) where the Scottish Government takes a proportional ownership stake in the property, which is repaid later.
You need to qualify for a mortgage in the usual way first. Then you can take Scot Gov’s £10k to help with the deposit.
If that comes to say, 5% of the purchase price, when you come to sell, say for £300,000, then you will pay back Scot Gov £15,000.
As regards the Crown Office, he identifies a series of questionable decisions which all seem to have been “protecting Sturgeon & the Scottish Government, not a single action by the Crown Office pushing in the opposite direction.” I agree these decisions require scrutiny. 3/3
“…subverted its own rules, openly took steps to suppress the right of their transparency mechanisms to have access to needed information, stole money raised in a fundraiser (after denying it for a decade) – and now they’re saying there is not a thing you can do about it” 2/3
🧵This, from Robin McAlpine, sums up the current position of the SNP very well & also lays out legitimate concerns about Crown Office. “A political party in this country has allowed its Chief Exec to steal money, it bullied & forced out whistleblowers…1/3 https://t.co/2isgUXlkzT
It’s 77 miles and over four hours by bus from Sanquhar to Stranraer - and that’s the distance my constituents are expected to travel to access the SNP’s new “walk-in” GP surgery.
It’s a pre-election ploy designed to mask the crisis in primary care.
Aberdeen's oil and gas workers have been let down for too long.
Thousands of jobs have disappeared while the SNP looked the other way.
On 18th June, vote @DLumsden_MSP in Aberdeen South and back our energy industry.
The £10,000 is “given to you” as an equity stake. Scottish Minsters will own part of your home repayable on sale. The scheme will also push up house prices so you may gain little practical benefit.
John Swinney granted two SNP ministers a holiday to attend the World Cup because they bought tickets before they entered Government.
Yet he previously accused two Tory MSPs of ‘skiving off’ Parliament for a Rangers European final in Seville. https://t.co/MsKn4dbCee
