BREAKING: Carl Rushworth’s proposed loan move to Leeds is OFF after the clubs couldn’t agree a loan fee.

Carl Rushworth is understood to be closing in on a season-long loan move to Leeds United from Brighton.

The highly-rated goalkeeper is believed to see regular football at Elland Road as the ideal platform to force his way into Thomas Tuchel’s thinking ahead of a home European Championship, and is thought to favour that opportunity over the prospect of a relegation battle at a soon-to-be managerless Coventry City.

Discussions are said to be progressing, with all parties optimistic a deal can be reached.
