@Spainkiller I loved how pathetic it became when it lost its dance partner. Mixed feelings, wanting to win but also feeling sad for it as it danced alone.
First Sinner probably my fave, gotta improvise, fast!
@Spainkiller Since when do people expect to beat video games? Nobody could survive Iron Mike, but Punch-Out was loved. Nobody complained about Missile Command. Games aren't a product to consume from to the end. They're an exercise in antagonism. A game beating you is part of the design space.
@Spainkiller My point is that I watched a lot of unedited Kirk, and ultimately, I can't take anything he said seriously. He's so slippery and bad faith. I could go into some examples, but I'm not asking you to watch the vid or argue his points. Just to give an idea where I'm coming from.
@Spainkiller I didn't like how the video immediately stopped after that, so I was hoping Kirk would clarify. I still think that using the term "perfect" to be extremely misleading. But if Kirk really does emphasize love for gays elsewhere, despite what the OT says, I stand corrected.
@imPatrickT In my experience, the more I analyze art, the more I also feel (for) it. Analysis isn't about plot-holes or taking away from (shallow?) entertainment. It's about highlighting what makes it work. At the very least, there's more appreciation for the craft.
@Spainkiller I was about to be cynical, saying Nintendo made games too easy to understand and execute. But then I saw Excitebike 64, the only game I've never been able to beat, and I gotta give props for that.
And indeed, N will never release something as crap as A Plague Tale.
@Spainkiller Thanks, I see what you mean when it comes to popular interpretations. I've met my fair share of Christian socialists, can't say I've ever heard them talk about Christ's temperament. Mostly talk about historical Christian movements forming their own kind of socialism, fascinating!
@Spainkiller Of course I haven't met every socialist, but from these movements I can guarantee you they don't want anything to do with Leninists: Internationale Socialisten, Socialist Workers Party, De Vrije Bond, SP/GL, and AoB/FNV unions.
But what exactly are you/Destiny concerned about?
@Spainkiller Which physical marks do you have in mind? Perhaps I'm more focused on Dutch/English movements. I can judge them well because I've been part of them.
Their stance on state control is tenuous at best: they want grass roots democratic movements. Criticizing Lenin/Stalin is 101.
@Spainkiller@SimonZijlemans Ik heb nog nooit een spel gespeeld die zo verschrikkelijk de speler haat: moeilijk, lelijk, walgelijk, en vooral vernederend. De duurste upgrade is een huis!
