@BrianTaylor5580@RupertLowe10 Yes, look at that idiot trillionaire.. Thank god there are still more people that agree with Rupert and Elon than don’t. Or else, Brian, the west would be utterly fucked.
@UKDecline Yes, but they will almost certainly be relatives. The level of local government corruption playing out in the UK would make Peshawar Waderas look on in absolute awe.
Digme was a VC deal. Do you not know the difference? We didn’t buy it to strip profits, we funded losses so employees could keep their jobs. Covid put pay to that and much of the fitness industry at the time. I agree some PE firms can be utterly ruthless but that is not West Hill.
@GyllKing@koehlerpj People that wouldn’t otherwise have a job if it wasn’t for venture capital with wealthy and successful private investors funding businesses you mean? You are a very odd, and clearly very bitter, woman.
@GyllKing@JoeS0ap@koehlerpj We were not just equity investors. We were creditors too through loans. I’m sorry but it’s fairly evident that you have absolutely no idea what you’re taking about on topics like this.
I’m actually quite proud of the fact that we have provided hundreds of millions to startup businesses in the UK that have gone on to employ thousands of people that have collectively paid millions in tax to HMRC. A considerable amount of investment is also made without any tax breaks whatsoever. What have you done exactly in this regard to furnish the exchequer with millions so that others don’t have to? Or are you one of the ones that doesn’t have to, because people like me do it for you…
@GyllKing@koehlerpj I’ve absolutely no desire to use this platform to rant about things that upset either the left or the right. However, if I see something that is bullshit, because I was actually involved and so know the truth, I will call it out.
@GyllKing@koehlerpj Hi, major Digme creditor here. Rupert did absolutely nothing wrong whatsoever. Nor did any of the directors in fact. Believe me, I’d be the first one to complain if they had. We invested (and lost) millions in Digme.
Errr, my firm West Hill Capital was the largest investor and also one of the largest creditors in Digme having invested in both equity and debt c£7m. Rupert did nothing wrong in his position as non-exec chair and nor did any members of the board. If you’re supposedly in the same game as me, Deborah, to suggest Rupert gained financially somehow for a scheme setup to pay furloughed PAYE workers, you know damn well that is extremely misleading and you’re only sharing this crap to smear him, because after all, the less informed will swallow it up. However, if on the contrary you do believe it all to be a big con, then you really ought to just call it a day and retire.
@stuzi_pants I can categorically assure you that Rupert did not receive a single solitary penny of that money. The business failed because funnily enough public gyms and spin studios weren’t allowed to be used during the pandemic.
@RupertLowe10 Does the Prime Minster agree that unfettered migration has made Britain less safe and that remigration of many will now be necessary to help restore the cultural unity and trust within British society that has taken many hundreds of years to achieve.
@DavidHollidge Our armed forces are woefully underfunded, under equipped and undermanned, in a world that is at its most dangerous since the end of WW2. Meanwhile, people can self assess themselves for disability benefits. Are you sure we’re in business together? 👀😉
