I was honored to bump into Ms. Mulholland in an airport TSA line last year. I was embarrassed when she caught me trying to take a clandestine picture of her, but she was surprised that I knew who she was.
Joan Mulholland transferred from Duke University to HBCU Tougaloo College to fight for equal justice & became a close advisor to Dr. MLK. She is the first white member of Delta Sigma Theta pledged in the 60s. With her son.
